I don't mean rape, I mean the blog itself.

Of course rape is never the victims fault, and you are definitely right that grouping rape with alcohol poisoning is wrong and horrible. I guess I was just trying to say that overdrinking is always a bad idea.

I think you have real point I didn't take this issue very seriously when I was writing this, but it's also not a really serious blog. I mean look at the title of it.

Also, I was just writing down what the first responder's network was saying about sexual assault, that alcohol is the most common date rape drug.

Anonymous you should email me about this because I'd really like to write a more serious post about sexual assault with your input, because it is a serious issue, even if some people don't think that it's a problem on campus (hint: it is).Ken Benjeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13111108093977399044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-526819716761246177.post-75198032157747164442009-11-04T18:22:11.366-05:002009-11-04T18:22:11.366-05:00"Most common date rape drug is...alcohol! That's a disgusting way of putting it. YOU CAN HAVE THAT TOO IF YOU SUPPORT A CAMPUS FARM!

Imagine this: The Grab and Go becomes a market for the Campus Farm. You can get fresh vegetables and packs of eggs OR you can do it Grab and Go style by picking up a sandwich prepared with said fresh ingredients. I do hope that something comes of this. Also, Justin Perry mentioned that the state legislature is very much pro-historic, and just put aside a lot of money for restructuring the visitor's center, and so this might be something they would be interested in.Ken Benjeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13111108093977399044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-526819716761246177.post-29970247806907762922009-11-03T23:06:56.370-05:002009-11-03T23:06:56.370-05:00I agree with Margo on the whole grab-and-go thing....I agree with Margo on the whole grab-and-go thing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-526819716761246177.post-62939671109457716892009-11-03T22:26:03.156-05:002009-11-03T22:26:03.156-05:00Hey, first it was Martin who was talking about his...Hey, first it was Martin who was talking about his SMP.

Second, the reason the barn is important, is because it is one of few remaining nineteenth-century tobacco barns. It's a lasting remnant of pre-modernized St. Mary's County. I think it's relationship to St. Mary's College is tied to the land. Which is another important reason for the barn's restoration.

Martin probably mentioned the potentiality of initiating a campus farm in conjunction with the use of the restored barn. Starting a campus farm at St. Mary's College would be an important step toward the College's goal of sustainability. There are a few different organizations coming from the position that this would be a good thing. As president of the Community Garden Club, I too support this, and I am working closely with Martin and others to accomplish this project within the best interests of the students, the college, and the surrounding community. I believe the barn is a great opportunity for the students to explore our local geography and culture.Guy H.
